Harold Coffin defines a consumer as "a shopper who is sore about something." All too often the consumer is a best friend before a sale is made and a friendless, nameless burden to be ignored after the sale. Mr. Adamson represents individuals to protect their contract, warranty and basic civil rights against fraud, deception and over-reaching. We work to level the playing field.

We will work on a minimal fee or pro bono basis to help you retain your home if you have been the victim of predatory lending or other acts of unfair creditors. Mr. Nader may be right that far too little is being done to protect the consumer in Washington, but there are still statutory rights upon which consumers may depend.

Offering credit allows businesses and individuals to smooth the inevitable peaks and valleys of income and demand. Both parties accept risk and stand to be rewarded. Both should be entitled to respect and courtesy in all interactions. Congress has taken specific action to define what constitutes fair debt collection practices in response to increasingly outrageous examples of debt collector behavior.
